Box of 100 Organ DPX17-SK1 Quilting Machine Needles. Needle System : 135X17-SK1, DPX17-SK1 Ideal for Quilting and Multi-Directional Sewing. The Long Arm quilting machines sew in multi directions that has the tendency to create skipped stitches. To alleviate this problem needles have been developed to help prevent this problem by creating a deeper scarf (clearance above the eye). Singer MR and Groz-Beckert San11 needle was developed to prevent this problem. Organ has made a major improvement over the former MR SAN11 designes by creating a main scarf and two side scarfs (one on each side of the main scarf). The Organ SK1 needle makes a smaller hole then the MR SAN11 needle. The smaller hole results in cleaner stitches, allows thinner threads and alleviates problems of bigger holes that let down or other fillers escape from the needle hole.
